Stewardship Information

Stewardship is everything we do with our lives once we commit them to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  Good stewardship involves every aspect of our lives, including our time, talent, and our treasure.  We give not to earn God's favor but to give thanks for all that God has done for us.

Like all organizations, Christ the Lord depends on the contributions and good will of its members and friends.  We encourage all those who attend CTL to make a pledge.  Pledges are important, because they help the Bishop's Committee plan the budget and make decisions.  The biblical standard for giving is the tithe or 10% of your income.  If you cannot give that much, consider challenging yourself to move in that direction over a period of time, perhaps increasing your percent of income given by 1% a year till you reach 10%.  It may seem hard to give that much, but if you do, you will find many blessings coming your way! We realize that some people live on very limited incomes so, no matter what size pledge you make, we want to remind you that, large or small, all pledges and donations are greatly appreciated.
