We are located at 592 A Tennent Avenue in Pinole. (Click on the address for a map.) From I-80 take the Pinole Valley Rd exit.  Drive towards the bay.  When the road splits and Pinole Valley goes to the right, keep going straight (It changes names to Tennent Ave.) We're one block past San Pablo Ave, across from Fernandez Park. Our services are:

Sundays: 9:30 a.m.

  1. Childcare is provided, with Sunday School during the school year.
  2. There is a coffee hour after the service for fun and fellowship!

Wednesdays: 6:30 PM Compline and Centering Prayer

A Welcome from our Vicar
     Along with all the people of our church, I welcome you to our web page and to Christ the Lord Church.  I am the Rev. Susan Champion, also known as Vicar Susan or Mother Susan, and I came to Christ the Lord Church in December of 2006 from Hawaii, where I served for five years as chaplain at an Episcopal girls' school.  Prior to that, I served as pastor of a church in Oregon, and now my love of  parish ministry has brought me to Christ the Lord Church. 

Here at Christ the Lord, we are at an exciting time in our lives.  Together, we are seeking God's will and guidance so we can do an even better job of reaching out to our local community and the world with the Good News of Christ.  We'd love to have you join us in this endeavor and look forward to getting to know you and all the wonderful gifts God has given you. 

We are very excited about our new Covenant Groups, and we'd love to have you join one.  Covenant Groups are faith support groups that meet weekly (we have 1 at the church, 2 at homes, and 1 at the new Peets Coffee on Pinole Valley Rd.).  They include check-in time, a short Bible study, and an opportunity to pray for one another.  Our Covenant Group members are finding them to be a great way to grow closer to God.  Check out more info on our Covenant Groups at the link on this web page.
